Serious sins can be forgiven in mortality because of the Saviour’s atonement.

The atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ opens the door for all men to repent and come unto Him.

We are all sinners who can be cleansed from sin.

Repentance is not easy but the prize is worth the price.

True repentance is not an event it is a never-ending privilege.

We need to partake of the sacrament each sabbath day.

We are accountable to God and to his chosen servants.

An unrepentant person will remain unclean.

Many scriptures state that we shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ.

The justice of our God requires that in the resurrection all things should be restored to their proper order.

This life is the time to repent.

When we repent we have the assurance that our sins will be cleansed and that our merciful judge will remember them no more.

The resurrection will restore all things to their proper and perfect form.

We know from modern revelation that we will be judged for our desires as well as for our actions.

Our Saviour has the power and stands ready to cleanse us from evil.

Bcause of God’s plan and the atonement of Jesus Christ…we can be cleansed by the process of repentance.

Our bodies have over 600 muscles.

Our muscles grow only when we use them.

Reading and learning about faith without having action isn’t enough to build faith.

Story of visiting his missionary brother before he was a member of the Church.

I learned how to serve others and forget about myself and my own desires.

My faith grew that day because my brother gave me the opportunity to put it into action.

I felt my faith grow like a small grain of mustard seed.

Without realising it I was a missionary without being a member of the Church.

When doubts come to our minds trusting in the Lord’s promises will be required to move forwards.

Months later I decided to get baptised and serve my own mission.

This is a marathon race not a sprint.

If we want to increase faith then lets do things that require faith.

Counting sheep to fall asleep.

I worry about missing or losing one and that  keeps me awake.

Who better to be our Good Shepherd than the Lamb of God.

As our Good Shepherd Jesus Christ calls us in His voice and in His name.

‘Whatsoever ye shall do, ye shall do it in my name’

Our Good Shepherd seeks and gathers us into one fold.

Our Saviour reaches out to the one and to the ninety and nine often at the same time.

What a blessing the Book of Mormon is as another testament witnessing the voice of Jesus Christ.

Today our Saviour desires that what we do and who we are becoming will invite others to ‘Come Follow Me’.

As Shepherd of Israel Jesus Christ exemplifies how shepherds in Israel minister and love.

The Lord also warns of hirelings who careth not for the sheep.

The sacrificial lamb of God was foreshadowed from the beginning.

As Lamb of God, the Saviour knows when we feel alone, diminished or afraid.

His atonement, infinite and eternal is central to the plan of salvation and the purpose of creation.

The programs of the Church are becoming ever more home-centred and Church-supported.

What did you learn about the Saviour and his gospel this week at home?

We should not expect the Church as an organisation to teach and tell us everything that we should do.

Our homes are the ultimate setting for learning, loving and becoming.

We need to learn for ourselves.

Our commitment to live and learn according to truth is increasingly important in a world that is in commotion.

Parents have a sacred duty to raise their children in love and righteousness.

The ultimate missionary training centre is in our homes.

Family history centres now are in our homes.

Vital temple preparation classes take place in our homes.

Because we love the Lord we always should speak about his holy house with reverence.

The temple is the house of the Lord. Everything in the temple points us towards Jesus Christ.

[Spoke about all of the accurate and appropriate information about temples and temple work that the Church has made available]

Can we do this? Yes, you can do this!

5 year old son – ‘Soon for you is a very long time for me’

The immediate goodness of God comes to those who call upon him with real intent.

God also gives immediate hope for eventual deliverance.

Above all, God’s love is immediate.

Story of Emily – suffered from substance abuse.

Story of Alicia – lost son in a snowmobile accident.

Jesus Christ is the great deliverer.

Christ-centred homes are fortresses for the kingdom of God.

[Ancestor Thomas Rasband built Heber Fort]

Our homes are fortresses against the evils of the world.

Our homes are only as powerful as the strength of each one of us within the walls.

Brothers and sisters we are at war with Satan for the souls of men.

Satan know his days are numbered.

He will not win. However, his battle for each one of our souls rages on.

We often feel the spirit so powerfully as we sing praises to God.

When we build a fortress of spiritual strength we can shun the advances of the adversary.

Do we act with the willing obedience of Nephi?

Obedience exercised with holiness of heart is what the Lord asks of us.

The sacrament is the centrepiece of our Sunday worship.

We should have integrity in all that we do.

Put your arms around those that stumble.

Seek to be like Jesus in all that you do.

Be honest in heart, be upright and pure.
