3. Understand the intent of the enemy. Satan is the enemy of righteous and those who seek to do the will of God. ..The adversary works relentlessly to attack the elements of the Father’s plan he hates the most…Lucifer seeks to frustrate our spiritual progression by temting us to use our bodies improperly…He attacks us through our appetites….Understanding the intent of an enemy is vital…If ye are prepared ye shall not fear.
Some of the greatest instructions we can ever receive…will originate in our own ordinary experiences…

Our youth live in an exciting but also in a challenging time.
Organisational changes to make youth a greater focus for our bishoprics.
These efforts, together will those announced during the last two years, are not isolated changes. Each of the adjustments is an integral part of an interlocking pattern to bless the Saints and prepare them to meet God.
To strengthen AP quorums and quorum presidencies.
YM presidencies at the ward level will be discontinued. Capable YM advisors will be called.
A YW leader may be best placed to fulfil the needs of a young woman.
Ward YW presidencies will now report directly to the Bishop.
At General and Stake level we will continue to have YM and YW presidencies. The Stake YM President will be a high councillor.
Another high councillor will serve as the Stake Sunday School President.
To begin as soon as ready but should begin by 1 January.
I promise and testify that these comprehensive adjustments, under the direction of an inspired president and prophet, Russell M. Nelson, will empower and strengthen every member of the Church.

The journey of the brother of Jared can be a metaphor for our journey through life.
Have the difficulties of life ever made it difficult for you to breathe?
The Lord made it clear that ultimately the Jaredites could not make it to the promise land without him.
The Jaredites…had learned to trust in the Lord’s power, goodness and mercy.
Trusting God may not always feel safe at first, but joy follows.
We can take comfort in knowing that God in his infinite goodness is always blowing us towards home.
We can have the assurance that God never does cease to blow us towards our heavenly home.
Trusting in the Lord includes trusting in his timing.
If we are faithful in keeping our covenants we too will one day arrive safely home.
Jesus is the Christ, he is the source of all joy.

Our Saviour Jesus Christ is our great exemplar in making and keeping promises and covenants.
Is your word your bond?
2020 Youth theme -To go and do
A covenant is a two way promise between us and the Lord.
Our daily thoughts and actions both large and small reflect our commitment to Him.
Do we stand by our promises and covenants or are they half-hearted commitments casually taken and easily broken?
D&C 82:10
Our covenants bind us to Him and give us godly power.
When we keep promised to each other we are more likely to keep promises to the Lord.
We made a promise to gather Israel on both sides of the veil.
Consider the promises you make with the Lord and with others with great integrity.
