General Conference April 2023 Saturday evening

Elder Oaks conducting.

Elder Mark A Bragg

Be a good man in a storm.

Spiritual poise blesses us to stay calm and focused on what matters most, especially when we are under pressure.

President Russell M Nelson is a wonderful example of spiritual poise.

The Saviour is the ultimate example of poise.

Peter lost his poise when he cut off Malchus’ ear.

Knowing who we are and being true to that divine identity brings calm

We are children of Gid, we are children of the covenant and we are disciples of Christ.

Remembering that there is a grand plan engenders poise.

Poise comes when we see things from an eternal perspective.

By framing challenging times within an eternal plan, pressure becomes a privilege to love, serve, teach and bless. An eternal view enable Christ-loke poise.

The enabling power of Christ, made possible by His atoning sacrifice, gives us the strength to endure and prevail. Because of Jesus Christ we can covenant with God.

He is the great man in a storm.

May we seek the blessings of Christ-like poise.

I testify of the peace, calm and heavenly poise that only He brings into our lives.

Brother Milton Camargo

The Lord Jesus Christ is the solution to our problems.

Jesus Christ overcame death for us and as a consequence we will all be resurrected.

We can be free from the consequences of our sins.

Jesus Christ does not just erase our errors and make us innocent again, He can work a might change in our hearts so that we have no more disposition to do evil.

Our covenants help us focus our attention, our thoughts and our actions on Christ. As we cleave unto the covenants that we make we can easily identify the things of this world that we should lay aside.

Covenant keeping leads us to seek after whatever invites the influence of the Spirit and reject whatever drives it away.

We may have to change our vocabulary.

The reward for keeping covenants with God is heavenly power.

By partaking of the sacrament we declare that we do always remember Him. The word ‘always’ is so significant. It extends the Savior’s influence into every part of our lives.

Focusing on Jesus Christ must be more than a Sunday only activity.

The influence of the adversary in your home will decrease.

Changes in your family will be dramatic and sustaining.

Over time, your consistency in feasting on the word of God will help your children grow closer and closer to the Savior. They will come to know Him as never before. The Lord Jesus Christ lives today. He can be an active, daily presence in our lives. He is the solution to our problems, but we must lift our eyes and raise our sights to see Him. He has said Look unto me in every thought. Doubt not, fear not.

Elder K Brett Nattress

Opened new business in Idaho.

Message from young daughter – Dad – remember to love me.

I testify that our Heavenly Father always remembers us and that He loves us perfectly. My question is this – Do we remember him and love him?

Story of young man, Danny.

Danny wasn’t lost and neither are we to the Lord.

His promise is eternal: He will heal us.

To those who have strayed from the covenant path, please know there is always hope, there is always healing, and there is always a way back.

Elder Juan A Uceda

“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

The word for good also means beautiful, magnificent.

President Nelson – “We are His true undershepherds. Our privilege is to bear His love and to add our own love to friends and neighbors.”

It appears that the Lord is teaching one unique lesson with three stories, stories that present different numbers: 100 sheep, 10 coins and two sons. The key number in each of these stories, however, is the number one.

You always, always minister to them, care for them and love them one by one, individually.

If we have the pure love of Christ we will follow the example of the father in the parable of the prodigal son.

Story of Julia and her father.

I testify that with our Savior’s help, we can love His precious sheep and minister to them as He would.
